get to know Samantha LaRocque
Samantha earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from Northwestern State University in 2006 and her Master’s Degree in Social Work from The University of Houston in 2008. She then spent eight years working in an inpatient psychiatric hospital pursuing her Licensed Clinical Social Worker credentials, leading her into private practice, where she has been since 2015.
Samantha works with children, teens, young adults, women, and families in dealing with all areas of mental health. She has a desire to shed light and offer support in settings, where mental health may otherwise be overlooked. Samantha lives in Moss Bluff, Louisiana, along with her husband Kyle, their three sons, and their golden retriever. Samantha and her family serve in their local church in children and adult’ ministries. When Samantha is not at the soccer field, basketball courts, or baseball fields, she enjoys curling up with a good book and strongly feels naps should be a regular part of self-care.
As a motivational speaker, Samantha desires to use her professional experience and biblical perspective to help others dealing with their own mental illness or caring for someone suffering from mental illness.
